Our Story

We bridge the gap between ambition and execution. Small businesses often lack the resources to focus on high-quality strategy, and traditional consultancies miss the mark. That’s where we excel — crafting impactful, accessible solutions tailored for bold thinkers.

Founder Scott Lewis has two decades of investigative journalism expertise, where curiosity, rigor, and creativity were tools for creating impact. Ultimately, journalism is about breaking through the chaos to forge clarity while entrepreneurship is about seeing opportunity amidst the status quo - they’re kindred spirits. Over the past decade, Scott has applied this unique combination of skills and experience to helping turn big ideas into transformative outcomes. With additional training from Irrational Labs, a leader in behavioral science, we apply the proven principles of behavioral economics to reveal insights and design strategies for meaningful change and measurable growth. Our distinctive approach blends these experiences and points-of-view to deliver actionable strategies for entrepreneurs.

At SCOOP STRATEGIES, we’re not advisors. We’re partners in making big ideas happen.

SCOOP STRATEGIES’ founder Scott Lewis has spent the majority of his career in one kind of start-up or another. He’s always had an entrepreneurial mindset even if it took a while to actually become an entrepreneur. He’s the one always asking “why not?” and “what’s possible?” in every situation. As a photojournalist, he was adept enough to both create a body of work that documented the little moments that have universal meaning in daily life in the most mundane of places, a midwestern suburb, and create an intimate connection to those living amidst the waning days of the Second Intifada in both Israel and the West Bank. His work has garnered international acclaim and led to a wide range of experiences including working with National Geographic, a handshake with the King of The Netherlands, editing and leadership opportunities, and creating image libraries for visionary corporate clients (check that work out here). As an entrepreneur he’s helped oversee the management of transporting a vessel through the Panama Canal (from the comfort of his home in Philly) and led reporting efforts covering the crisis of access to clean water throughout Africa and the Southwestern United States while experimenting with new forms of publishing on Web3-based interactive platforms.

This varied range of experiences is bound together through a spirit of play, without being unserious, to explore the edges of what’s possible, challenging, and meaningful. Having such a varied set of experiences provides a unique perspective that reveals certain truths of what it means to endeavor for greatness and how to achieve it through positivity, innovation, and collaboration.

“Scott provided the leadership and business management required to maintain operations during a difficult period and was instrumental in negotiating and securing an injection of capital by private equity. Scott is a quick study and is masterful at execution.”
